517 km Range Electric 7-Seater: Vin Fast VF MPV 7 Review

Vin Fast developed the VF MPV 7 with this precise requirement in mind. Only one fully loaded variant. Price is ₹24.49 lakh ex-showroom. I checked it in real Indian conditions – third-row space, actual range, ride quality and daily use.
Exterior Looks and Design
Front is clean. No heavy chrome. Vin Fast light bar runs across the nose as DRLs. Main LED headlamps sit lower on the bumper. Night light is okay. But no front fog lamps. That feels missing in rain or fog.
Side profile highlights the vehicle’s substantial proportions, with a length exceeding 4.7 metres. Wheelbase is 2,840 mm. It sits on 19-inch alloys. Ground clearance around 180 mm. 19-inch wheels look good, but thicker tyres on 18-inch rims would handle bad roads better. Side glass is large. Last row does not feel dark.
Back is simple. Connected LED tail-light strip, rear defogger, wiper and roof spoiler. Tailgate opens high. A 5’10” person can stand under it. Boot with all seats up is 126 litres – just two small bags. Fold the third row, and it becomes 606 litres. Good for holiday luggage.

Interior and Third Row Comfort
The cabin is modern but basic. Vin Fast kept it simple to control price. No sunroof. No 360 camera. No driver display behind the steering.
One 10.1-inch floating touchscreen in the centre does almost everything – speed, drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), regen levels, battery status and climate. Dashboard uses hard textured plastics. Fit and finish feel solid though. Storage is good. Deep door pockets, dual cup holders and open centre bin take large bottles easily.

This part surprises. Floor is lowered. Seat cushions are thick. Average Indian adults (5’6″ to 5’10”) can sit without knees hitting hard. The cabin gets roof-mounted AC vents along with convenient side bottle holders for added practicality. Clear miss – no Type-C charging ports in the last row.
Battery and Real Range
Battery is 60.13 kWh LFP. Single motor drives the front wheels. Power is 201 bhp and 280 Nm. 0 to 100 comes in under 9 seconds. Top speed goes past 160 km/h.
Fast charging up to 80 kW DC. 10% to 70% takes under 30 minutes.

ARAI says 517 km. Real driving is less. In Eco mode with four passengers, the car manages around 380–410 km of range. Switching to Sport mode and pushing the car harder brings the range down to approximately 340–360 km. For typical family usage, the 380 km range offers enough confidence for daily commuting and longer trips without constant charging worries.
Drive Feel and Daily Usage
Driving this MPV in city traffic is easy. Steering stays light. The driver’s seat offers a commanding view with excellent all-round visibility. You do not feel like you are driving a huge 4.7-metre vehicle.
Suspension is good. It takes potholes well and does not throw people around. The body roll is well managed for a heavy battery car. On highways, acceleration is punchy. Overtaking slower trucks takes no planning. The cabin stays reasonably quiet even at 100 km/h speeds.
